These influencers have gathered a following numbering in the millions, a feat in itself, and they’ve spread their influence across multiple channels to maximize their reach.

The best social media influencers have taken the place ahead of many businesses and even close personal acquaintances when it comes to product recommendation, making them the go-to outlet for pushing brand recognition.

If your brand is able to book a deal with one of these “new famous” figures, then you’ll be reaching a vast target market across multiple distribution channels. These content creators can connect to their audience through various posts, videos, and now Stories, all with a comforting personality. The best part is that with their global reach, many of them have vasts amount of data on their audience so that you know who you’re doing business with.

No list containing social media influencers would be complete without mentioning Felix Kjellberg, a.k.a. PewDiePie. This Swedish Youtube star has the most followed channel on the entire platform. He has also crossed over onto Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, netting him over 100 million followers.

While his reputation has been hit a few times due to the content he’s uploaded, his star-power hasn’t waned. It’s even possible that he’s figured out a formula for gaining more subscribers through apologizing for his behavior.

With his off-brand comedy and his ability to cater to a younger audience, if you’re looking at how to create content, check his feed out and see how a little personality can get you large amounts of followers. YouTube Channel:

Logan Paul

Logan Paul is an interesting case study when it comes to social media influencers. Originally, he started as on of the content creators for the now-defunct Vine, but he quickly garnered a following across the major platforms.

What makes him interesting is the fact that he’s entire career has been surrounded in controversy. While his normal content is based around humor, but it’s his personal life and his lack of empathy that has garnered him attention in the public eye. Reports from his neighbors claiming he’s terrorizing the neighborhood came out in 2017, and then in January 2018, he had a video go viral after joking on camera and filming the aftermath of a suicide.

While most reasonable people would assume that this would be the end of his career, it just puts more eyes on him, and he continues to push his life as a spectacle. He recently took part in a professional boxing match at the Staple Arena which earned him even more followers.

While we could not in good conscious recommend looking at his channel for a source of how to create good content, his career is a testament to the old adage that there’s no such thing as bad press. YouTube Channel:

Dude Perfect

If you’re into sports then there is a good chance you’ve stumbled across one of Dude Perfect’s videos. While not a single person, Dude Perfect is a troupe of five friends that seemed to make impossible trick shots. Their videos originally were compilations of various trick shots, scoring a goal or making a basket by deflecting off of various objects and surfaces, and they earned them huge sponsorship deals. As their videos became viral, they expanded across social media and even broke into television, merchandising, and onto mobile apps. If you’re looking at how to create good content from a niche category, then check out Dude Perfect and see how they turned throwing a basketball off the roof of a house, across the pool, and off the deck into the hoop into a million-dollar business.

While PewDiePie made his name in video game commentary, he isn’t the only one to amass a large following in the subject. Mark Fischbach, who goes by Markiplier, has built his career around video games. He injects humor and animation into his gaming Youtube channel, but he’s also developed a following outside of this sphere.

Branching off onto the other social media platforms, Markiplier, give a more personal view for his followers to consume. He’s developed a brand that appears charitable as he publicly advocates for children’s rights and access to clean water.

So if you’re looking for a way to diversify your brand and the best of content in 2019, Markiplier is one of the better content creators to follow.
